A Mercy Moment
For every child of God there are mercy moments. I believe that God wants to use His children’s lives as a testimony of His great mercy to the world.
Daily, as I work with Aldo, we see layer upon layer, Abba Father removing the veils of pain and dark hidden debris in our hearts as a family. I know that this is a season where God wants us to be restored. As I was thinking about the restoration process – Aldo wrote to me: read Joel 2. What are you saying to me Abba?
These are beautiful mercy moments when Abba directs me and explains something to me through scripture.
As I read Joel 2, I saw a generation that broke the fellowship and love relationship with God. And I realized that in all situations it is not God that moves away, but man. I read about a generation that is confronted with an army of locusts that are destroying the land. I read about the locusts and see they are so vast in number that it looks like a dark cloud overhead blotting out the sun.
This is the most dangerous place you can ever find yourself in – where darkness blots out the Light of His Glory. This means that His presence is blotted out! How can any man live without the presence of God, YHVH? This dark cloud will keep you from walking and operating from the supernatural dimension in the spirit.
God wants our hearts to be pure before Him. The nation and generations drifted away from God. The prophet Joel warns, “Rend your hearts and not your garments” (Joel 2:13).
I read that they fasted, sacrificed and prayed, but their hearts were still distant from Him. God longs for intimacy.
The prophet Isaiah proclaimed the same message. Our Lord Jesus says, ”The people draw near with their mouths and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me”. Dark, hardened hearts carry a dark cloud of locusts preventing us to be one with God.
It is all about our hearts and the condition of our hearts. You should love the Lord with all of your heart (Deut 6:5).
God is a jealous God and He wants His children back in a love relationship and in intimate fellowship with him. Sometimes, difficulties and trials make people run away from God – blaming Him. But, remember He is unchangeable and He loved us from the beginning and into eternity. His love for us led Him to the cross and to the empty tomb.
Joel 2:12,13 “Return to me, says God”.
We return to God by confessing our sins and living a life of repentance and relationship.
Abba Father wants us to have the best. Repentance brings us back into unbroken fellowship with God. When we return, we need to return with our whole heart not keeping any part to ourselves or dedicated to other gods. Any part of your heart that you neglect to give to God will undermine everything that God desires to do with and in your life.
I also believe that God allows us to see the true condition of our hearts, so that we can be restored.
“Rend your hearts and not your garments”
Sin, rebellion, trauma, grief and loss all harden our hearts. Only when our hearts are softened and opened – will real transformation come into our lives. This transformation will be visibly seen by the fruits in our lives.
Ps 139:23 Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!
It is a mercy moment when we see how God comes and helps us through our dark journeys.
He restores everything that the locusts have destroyed.
When you know God – you will know that He is:
The God of hope, The God of grace and mercy.
The God of the impossible, The God of the suddenly, The God that can do all things, and
God is the God of double restoration.
He wants to restore your relationship with Him, He wants us to call upon Him, to cry out for mercy. He wants us to be in love with Him. He wants us to depend on Him alone. He wants to restore our health, strength, family, marriages, finances, careers, spiritual life, the lost years, everything that was stolen from us – In Jesus’ mighty name.
The same God that restored Job, is the one who wants to restore you and me.
Yes, I can see he is busy training our faith in Him.
He teaches us to hold on to Him, no matter what we face.
He teaches us to watch and pray.
He teaches us to walk in hope and faith speaking life in every situation.
Training us to live a holy life in Him. Seeking first His kingdom – for all the rest to follow.
These are building blocks that he builds into the newly restored walls of our lives.
“Retah, judgement is first on My people, and the rest, only later. You are facing the ‘Last days’ which began when Joel’s prophecy came true and the Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost. I want you to be glad, don’t be afraid. If My people repent from their hearts, I will restore that which the locusts have eaten. It will not only be a physical restoration of the crops that the locusts ate, but also a Spiritual restoration. I will pour out My Spirit on all kinds of people – and now is the time!
I know that the process of restoration is hard and calls for endurance. But, the power of My words and the restoration of My people will be a witness to the world, written on your hearts. I want you to be a witness of My unconditional love – a life of devotion to Me, no matter what you face. Make sure, that the foundation of repentance, is secured in your life. Without this foundation I will not be able to use your life to prepare a highway in the Wilderness.
I see how you read about Enoch. I want my children restored so that they can love Me and walk with Me, just as Enoch did. That is called a Supernatural walk. I am restoring your well – so that pure living water can flow from your inner being. I want the water clean, cold and fresh. It is called ‘Living Water’ – those who drink from Me will never thirst again. Through this well I release – abundance of joy, provision, healing, wisdom, hope, success, peace, a thirst for more of Me and all the rest that you need.
Remember – you are in training. I hone your skills and teach you My Wisdom. There will come a time where I will not be able to use those whose hearts are not circumcised. Even those in ministry that do not uphold and seek righteousness. Follow me – move when I move. Stay when I stay. Don’t outrun My cloud of grace. If you follow Me, you will always be doing the right thing at My perfect time.
My time is not your time, and My ways are not your ways.
Rest in Me.”
Run the race of faith my friend.
I bless you and thank you for your love and mercies towards me and my family.
Thank you for your generous hearts and mercies over us.
We appreciate you.
Retah and family
