Bread upon the water.

Bread upon the water.

Ecclesiastes 11: 1 Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days.

To walk a journey with someone is to support, to guide, to love, to help dealing with wounds and to build in the missing blocks in the walls around their souls.  It involves encouraging them to deal with and speak about their wounds. You have to give a willing ear and listen to their pain and trauma, so that their brain and emotions can come into agreement. If you do not speak about your trauma, the mask you carry will just become thicker and thicker.  Our role is to help them see themselves through YHVH's eyes, helping them to love themselves and to dream again. We help them to find themselves and through all this we help them to break the generational mind control - and there are numerous facets.

This is giving of yourself!

I am walking a journey with both Aldo and Chantel. I told Abba Father that I would fight for her and love her as my own child. The trouble is that pain brings masks and it is very difficult for people to realize that the strange behaviour in them are many a time nothing other than the epigenetic markers (curses) that they are operating under. The octopus (mind control spirit) with the generational familiar spirit sits in the mind control mask – controlling that person’s life. They need to learn how to separate the mask from the core person itself.

To speak and verbalize what is going on is so important. You cannot hold on to the trauma and pain memories and never speak about it. That is what the enemy needs in order to use mind control on you.  You break mind control with Truth and Love. So many Christians operate as if we are only spirit. No, we are body, soul and spirit. To verbalize the memories or pain is to bring the mind and emotions into alignment. But if you come out of an environment where you never could speak your heart, you embraced and enforced the masks! We have to get to a place where we find ourselves. The true you!

Even people that are severely abused verbally or sexually, in the flesh or in the spirit – can receive healing through Truth and Love. Truth is facing your memories and facing the fruit that you carry in your life.

We all need to make decisions to choose life, to hunger for truth, to take charge and do the memory work, to embrace your broken heart and to love yourself so that your brokenness can come to the forefront. We have to make a choice to take off the fear mask and defeat fear with truth. In the same manner we have to defeat anger and start operating out of Godly discernment. You have to discern when the mask speaks with all the demonic voices and when the core self speaks. If the mask is never dealt with, you become the vessel that the demonic use (the generator) to do his dirty work for him. The mask - it's voice and its works need to be utterly destroyed. And his works are – kill, steal and destroy!

As I was working with Chantel, Aldo was writing in his book. His spirit observes everything that I do and how I deal with her. Sometimes there are tears, then hugs, then encouragement - and through all of this he just looked at me. My heart was thinking, "Dear Lord, it sometimes feels to me as if I just put in effort, and then some more and more. When am I going to see the results?" The truth is that so much healing has already taken place in them. It is just me that gets tired.

Aldo wrote, "Mom, our bread is on the water”.

Sit Aldo se briefie in

Have you ever wondered like me, if the things you do for God's Kingdom really matters? You pray and fight in the spirit for someone, or your children – but do you see enough change? You give to the poor, but does it really help them? You share the Gospel, but do people get saved? Do their lives really change? You share how to receive healing, but do people get healed?

"Retah, even though you do not always know how I use the work you do, I do use every word, every look, every touch, every word of encouragement, every bit of help to advance My Kingdom. I want you just to continue to pray, to love, to serve, to give, to continue to share the Truths that I teach you."

By knowing that in Me, your labour is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58b).

“I teach you the practice of giving of yourself. If you have something that you can give – give it away. I want you to have open hands rather than clenched fists holding on to your things. Even My generous children always want to know – what are the money they give as blessing being used for? Is it being used for a legitimate cause? Are they expressing enough thanks? Do they even realize the number of hours which I have put in?” It seems our giving has so many strings attached that it isn’t really giving anymore.

Solomon says - 'Be generous and give as if you are throwing bread upon the waters. Then he adds, after you do this watch for the blessings - after many days you will find it again'.

I read a beautiful promise out of our Abba Father's heart. He says that when we give in the true spirit of giving, it will come back to us. Don’t hold on to what you have. Give what you can, even if it is time invested in your children.  If not, you will be missing out on God's blessing for you.

I read that David loved God, he was a wonderful worshiper, he was a good king – but he was not a very present father. I do not read of David helping his children, encouraging them, praying with them.  Let us look at his children's track records. Amnon raped his half sister Tamar.  Absalom was a rebel and was killed. Solomon had 700 concubines. Bathsheba, her husband died, his child died and so we can go on and on.

Our children will follow the example we give them.

Sometimes I wonder about the hours I put in with Aldo and Chantel- and at night just being there for Josh. And then I catch myself thinking does it really pay off?

God said to me – 'Retah, don’t try to save the world and your family is still broken. Always start at home. Not one moment of giving of yourself will ever be waisted. Keep on building My kingdom first in …'

But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth. (Acts 1:8 AMPC)

So, let us cast our bread on the water, without murmuring – but with great joy as we know we will find the blessing. I thank Abba Father that we can learn together.

So today I encourage you to never stop praying for your children. As long as we pray, God can work.

Bless you my friend.

Retah and family.
