Don’t despise small beginnings

Don’t despise small beginnings

I just returned from a business trip in Israel. And once again I faced the truth and the blessing of “Being grafted into the olive tree”. The number 7 biblically signifies fullness or completion. I look at the Menorah, the lampstand with seven pipes that represent the 7 paths (7 spirits of God) through which the oil (Holy Spirit) flows. Zechariah’s visions of the 2 olive trees represent the Spirit and the Word. I believe this is a metaphorical image of the Body of Christ plugged into the fullness of the sevenfold flow of the Holy Spirit. And as we tap into this source – it releases a fresh unlimited anointing of Holy Spirit.

John 3:34 For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.

My dear friend, that is what we all desperately need – “Fresh oil”. Too many people rely on yesterday’s anointing. Not sure if you know but oil can get old, and then it stinks. It even can become poisonous. If there was a time that we as God’s children need eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to us – it is now!

It is made possible for us to tap into the fullness of Holy Spirit every day. Without the oil, there will be no flame. A flame is visible even at a distance. There are many times in my life that I cannot talk about Jesus Christ, but I make sure that I have fresh oil every day so that the flame inside can burn so bright that people will see the light. The oil also releases a fragrance – of grace, of kindness, gentleness, forgiveness, love, righteousness, and all the fruit of the spirit. Yes, it is my challenge every day to tap in and get fresh oil. Because if not, I will bring forth my own smell, my own character and my own will.

Being grafted into God shape man according to His fruitfulness. But the serpent and the world say – Eat of the fruit and your eyes will be opened and you shall be as God.

God’s way is through a love relationship, becoming one with Him – grafted in, we are shaped from the inside out. We will carry His fragrance and His light in everything we do.

The serpent’s way is by outward religious acts or behavior executed in human power trying to shape us from the outside in.

He knows that we will struggle to be perfect out of ourselves, and then we will fall into the deep pit of “self-centeredness”.

There is a treasure hidden in our DNA, and with each generation’s spiritual ignorance, trying to do everything out of self, the veil of darkness covers this treasure within us more and more.

It is covered with shame, disgrace, sorrow, blame, fear, anger and self, and these provide fertile soil in our spirit hearts for the seed of the Serpent to grow and reproduce.

None of us can overcome this by ourselves.

“My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge” Hosea 4:6

There is only one way and that is to stay plugged into Him. He will replenish the oil as we stay in Him and give us Wisdom, understanding, knowledge, counsel, power and the fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2). The more we allow the working of the Holy Spirit, the brighter His truth will shine in every situation we face.

Rom 11:17 As believers, we’ve been grafted in among these olive trees and we become partakers of the root and fatness, the continual flow of the rich flourishing fragrant oil.

We will stay strong, and face whatever we need to face and overcome whatever we need to overcome as long as we partake of the oil, and remain plugged in to the flow.

Psalm 92:10 “But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox, I have been anointed with fresh oil”.

When our Abba Father anoints us, it means He fills us up till we overflow, and horn signifies strength.

It is only when we function and operate in the full expression of the seven-fold Spirit of God, that we will experience the grace of being grafted in.

We as a family have realized what it means – Not by might, not by your own power, not by your own strength, but by the Holy Spirit.

Whatever you do in life – don’t despise small beginnings. You have to give the first step by faith – be grafted in Him and drink from Him. He will make you grow from the inside out, He will give you grace upon grace. He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

We love You Abba, we love you Jesus Christ, and we love you Holy Spirit.

I bless you – as we all stay in Him.

Retah and family.
