Fear or Faith?

The greatest modus operandi of the devil is fear.  Demons that possess people feed upon fear in the atmosphere. These are things such as the words of fear, the unhealed wounds in the soul filled with fear, the trauma memories filled with fear, the fear of rejection, the fear of failing or the fear of not being good enough. Through all these fears the demons are strengthened and do they build up resistance to being expelled.

The primary spiritual force that ejects demons out of people’s lives is the force called ‘Faith in Yeshua.’ By and through faith do we live in His Light and Truth. The starting point to dealing with our fears is to take responsibility for our double lives. I’m referring to the secret double life which operates in your subconscious and keeps you trapped in darkness and lies – filled with all kinds of fear.  People don’t realize that this secret life is not so secret – it is actually seen in the natural through your actions and in the spirit through your thoughts.

Our Faith in YHVH, starts with a love relationship with Him and is released through the spoken word and Anointing. The Authority behind the spoken word is the key to biblical deliverance. It was Yeshua’s spoken words that the demons feared and obeyed. Under the Anointing, a single spoken word can drive out a multitude of devils from a possessed person.

It is the Anointing that breaks the yoke. Yeshua wants us to handle these manifestations of anger or fear in people through the opposite spirit.  When you come in the same evil spirit – fighting anger with anger - nothing will happen. Can Satan drive out Satan? It is Christ in us, the Light, Truth, Love and Holy Spirit in us that brings the Anointing.

1Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror!

When I get to a place of real repentance these demonic forces cannot return, because I have started living in the Light of Christ – and it is impossible for them to survive here.

Isa 10:27 And it shall be in that day that the burden of [the Assyrian] shall

depart from your shoulders, and his yoke from your neck. The yoke shall be

destroyed because of fatness [which prevents it from going around your neck].

[Deut. 32:15.]

The manifest presence of Holy Spirit and the Word of YHVH causes real torment for demons. Bondages and strongholds over the mind are not only dealt with by deliverance but also through the renewing of the mind.  This is done by dealing with the pain and the lies inside our painful memories. We need healing in our pain and sorrows. By facing the pain, working through the memories and seeing the experiences in the light of His truth, lies can be exposed and can His love and faithfulness bring us out of bondage.  The truth shall set you free and will enable your mind to be renewed and to align with the mind of Christ.

2Co 10:4  For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and

blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of

strongholds, :5  [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and

reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true]

knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into

the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),

Rom 12:2  Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]

I see how people all want deliverance, but what they do not understand is that you need some substance in your spirit. I’m speaking of having the Word of YHVH, Truth, Faith and Love as building blocks.  You need to build your life upon the Word of YHVH to have permanent results, if not you will be in need of constant deliverance and/or therapy. Love the Word of YHVH, read it, eat it, let your spirit, soul and body feed upon it. And if you do not have a hunger for it – ask Yeshua to give you a hunger for His Word more than for food!

So many people live in oppression, obsession and possession by demons, as a result of their thought life. When I say possessed by demons you have to understand that all the areas of yourself that are and operate out of darkness - dark words, dark thoughts, angry and hateful thoughts, bitterness, jealousy - are all filled with demons. Holy Spirit only lives in the areas of your soul that are flooded by Light and Truth. But, how do I manage that, Retah?  Through repentance you trade for life - His Zoe life inside of you. His light gives real life. You will have the nature of your Abba and live in complete peace.

When you shout and scream and gossip – it is not Him – but the nature of Satan still in your darkness and pain that lashes out. That nature wants to find fault in everyone except in you. Self-righteousness is flesh and it all starts with thoughts. The problem is that you do not want to face your pain, and now you hide behind masks of coping and self-righteousness. Families break up and relationships crumble because people’s minds are in darkness and they do not want to take responsibility for their thought lives and actions. Children are broken because what parents hold onto – gladly passing it on as a legacy.

Your old thoughts and patterns of thinking need to be removed from your life. We should guard our thought life and not allow weaknesses and lust of the flesh to control them. I have found the treasure of acknowledging my mistakes, taking responsibility for my life, not blaming all the others, but asking Holy Spirit to search my heart and deal with the darkness and pain still in my subconscious. What good is in it to keep on hiding behind ‘everyone is wrong, only I’m right?’ That is what the enemy wants, because he keeps you in denial and denial keeps you in darkness. Then you have a double mind and as the Word says, you will always be unstable in your ways.

We need repentance for our wrong thoughts. Satan cannot read our minds. All the information he has about us is through our words, our actions which speak louder than words and our radiance in the spirit or lack of it - I’m referring to  the brightness or darkness of the cloak you wear in the spirit realm which is the reflection of your thoughts.

Php 4:8  For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of

reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure,

whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if

there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on

and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

The enemy wants to create a mental block or stronghold over your mind. That means you believe his lies and start living that way. You do not bother to find out the truth, you believe that you are always right and all the rest is wrong. You start living your own little dark life in your subconscious where you are controlled by what the demons ask you to do. I sometimes cannot believe how the enemy manages to keep people secured in denial - refusing to acknowledge the condition of their souls.

Pro 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. As one who reckons, he says to

you, eat and drink, yet his heart is not with you [but is grudging the cost].

Entrance to a soul is through thoughts. It is very easy to command demons to come out, but it takes time to seal the gates through the thought life that they used for such a long time. The thoughts made a path in you and the body, soul and spirit remember the path.  So every time I feel like someone is rejecting me, my whole being goes back to the painful thoughts of my wounds and I once again open up to the dark thoughts which is home to demons. This will remain until the day I choose to change my focus from all who rejected me, to Yeshua, and start inviting Him into my wounds to bring healing and forgiveness through His light and Truth. Only then will I be able to see the judgements in my heart against people - the hate, bitterness and jealousy and start to deal with my own pain. It is usually not what people have done to us but our own pain that keeps us focusing and hating others.   It is harder to break mental habits than physical habits. Mental habits can create a stronger bondage than what prison bars can ever be.  I have seen that people sometimes don’t need deliverances for hours, no, they only need the “Truth – the Truth about themselves, about Yeshua, and only Holy Spirit bring that Truth.

It is fear that opens doors to captivity. That is why trauma opens so many doors for the enemy. But the cure for fear is faith, which comes from the Word of YHVH. Stand on the Word of YHVH and His promises and uproot the works of Satan in your life. Don’t listen to words of fear, but listen to the Word of YHVH.  

Faith is to keep on trusting Yeshua without knowing the answers.

Faith is trusting Yeshua that He will take my pain and turn it around for His Glory.

Faith is to trust Yeshua that He will use all my brokenness and transform me into His image and take me into my divine destiny in Christ.  

Faith is to embrace the truth about Yeshua and myself, and let go of the lies of the enemy.

You can run but you cannot hide. Yeshua knows everything about you so open up your pain to His love.

Jer 23:23 Am I a God at hand, says the Lord, and not a God afar off?

So take His hand so that He can lead you out of fear into Truth.

We are doing very good, Aldo walks his journey of faith, and he and Chantelle work through their brokenness and pain together daily on their knees in total dependency on Yeshua. Josh is very excited because he was invited to play tennis in Tampa Florida in our winter holiday. He rejoices in Yeshua and celebrates life! Tinus and I are take hands around our family through prayer, faith, truth, always trusting Yeshua for complete wholeness for all of us. I do believe it is possible for all who choose truth and life in Christ.

I bless you my friend, Yeshua died so that you can live a life of abundance in Christ Messiah. But you have to make the choices to run this race, climb your mountain, be part of the remnant.
