So many people ask me if it is truly possible to liveKingdom-life here on earth. Yeshua’s words were: Blessed are the poor in spirit, the meek, those who mourn, those whohunger for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers, andfinally: blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, fortheirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 5:3-11). The things Yeshua spokeabout in these verses display the character of YHVH that needs to be reproducedwithin humanity. Can you see that this not our human nature? We can never bethis way by trying to do it on our own. This is the life of God that we have inheritedthrough the new birth when we die to our old nature – that is what we call our sanctificationprocess. We don’t always understand the blessedness of mourning, or being meek, merciful, and peacemakers. It is so contradictory to our culture where we areprogrammed to seek more comfort, more prosperity, more luxury… more, more, more. Even in the churches people run after ministries where gold teeth andgold dust appears. With this I am not saying that YHWH doesn’t do these kindsof miracles, but what I do see is that the motivation of our hearts are notpure. We would rather seek hype and excitement than pursuing the true treasuresof God’s Kingdom: things such as meekness, humility, mourning, sacrifice, andlaying down of our life. When we harden our hearts to this foundation of theKingdom, the fruits of our lives are not the fruit of the Holy Spirit, but thefruits of the flesh. God is Spirit, and He is looking for people who willworship Him in Spirit and in truth. YHVH doesn’t want us to worship Him out ofhabit, but He wants us to worship Him from our intimate love relationship withHim.
There is a huge difference between talking about God asif you know Him, and actually knowing His heart and His character. God’scharacter has to be a part of your life - not just mentally through yourknowledge of the Bible. You can quote the Word all day long, but if your heartis hardened and full of pride while you are continuing in secret sin, you arein rebellion. Yes, we should be positive and declare God’s Word over oursituations, but not for the reason of covering up our carnal nature.
The Lord wants all of us. He fills us with His life sothat we can be transformed into the image of His Son. The greatest key to God’sKingdom is humility, because humility softens and prepares our hearts to therealization that we need a Saviour.
I will never forget the day when Aldo wrote to usthrough Wisdom’s inspiration about the condition of his broken soul. I criedfor days on end after that letter, because it made me realize that I was livingunder the false impression that he was okay, when in fact his soul was brokenand he desperately needed restoration. Just like Nehemiah I cried for daysabout the broken walls of our hearts. Only after I realized the brokencondition of our hearts, could we begin with the restoration process. As we werebusy rebuilding these walls through prayer and supplication, there arose aburning desire inside of me to be conformed into the image of YHVH. There is noother way for this restoration to take place other than through the shed bloodof the Lamb. We are able to rebuild our walls because of what He hasaccomplished for us on the Cross, not because of anything that we have done. This is what reconciliation is all about: Therefore,if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new hascome! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ andgave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world tohimself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committedto us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’sambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. Weimplore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had nosin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God(2 Cor. 5:17-21).
God’s Kingdom is a Kingdom of love. The love of God hasbeen poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit which has been given to us. Aswe open ourselves to Him, surrendering everything that we carry to Him and seekingrepentance for our hardened hearts, the more we will start feeling His love.
The more I communicate with God, the deeper ourrelationship grows until I suddenly find myself at a place of completedependency on Him, when I need Him every second of my day. That is how ourcommunication with God is supposed to be. That is what it means to live“Kingdom life”; the God kind of life when His Spirit is alive inside of you andyou can enjoy a life of abundance no matter what your circumstances might be.It is a life of growth and transformation, for we are continually changed fromglory to glory into His image. As we seek Him – the Holy God YHVH, Adonai, Elohim– and begin to lay down our lives for Him by serving others, we will betransformed into His likeness.
I look at Aldo and I can see how he shines out theglory of God. How do I see this? I see it in his yielding. He yields everythingto YHVH and he accepts his calling while other children his age are doing so manyother things. Aldo seeks the face of the great I AM, he relies on Him, hetotally trusts Him, and he is content in his situation. Aldo is thankful foreverything in his life, and he chooses to bless those who speak evil againsthim. The other day a man gave Aldo a watch, and Aldo immediately knelt down andstarted paying: “Father, please bless this man for being so, so, so, good tome.” When I look at him I see the Kingdom of God in action.
Yeshua is busy with our family. We are praying, andpraying, and praying for the cleansing of our DNA, because that is where thecharacter of the old nature is captured. I believe the “one new man” will havethe character of our King. As we pray and we see certain things surfacing thatare not in line with the will and the Word of God, we can repent for thosethings and apply the blood of the Lamb. When taking communion, after prayingfor the sanctification of the elements, we partake of the body and blood ofYeshua and we become one with Him – a new DNA, one new man!
I am still in Cape Town at the moment. It is very coldand rainy today. We had an amazing camp for men last weekend. I truly believethat they were kissed by their Abba Father and that they will never be the sameagain. Then I hosted a two-day Spirit School in George during the week, wherethe Holy Spirit did such a deep healing work in the people – right from dayone. The Holy Spirit whispered in my ear before the Spirit School that the timefor healing is now, and He is so faithful! I spoke at an event in Robertsonlast night, and this weekend I will be ministering again at camp for women atWortelgat. And, finally, on Sunday afternoon I’ll be flying back home.
I phoned home a few moments ago and Josh said, “Mom, Imiss you so much! But don’t worry about us – we are all doing fine! You have todo what you have to do for Yeshua, Mom. Please don’t look around at what otherpeople might say – you just stay obedient to your calling.”
Wow, that is wisdom from above. Flesh and blood did notreveal that to him – but my Abba in heaven did!
Josh continued, “Mom, Aldo is busy reading the Word, and Chantel is helping us with supper. Don’t worry about anything. Ma’am Patryshelped me with my school work this afternoon, and Dad says that he loves you; sonothing to worry about Mom. Bye Mom! We love you!!!”
So here I am, full of faith, full of love, and full ofthankfulness.
My Abba loves me, yes He does!
