The week is almost at its end, and I have received emails asking me if I have forgotten about writing a new letter for the web. I haven’t forgotten, it has just been an extremely busy week, as we had a Spirit School and I am working on the latest book which has to be finalised before I leave for America on Wednesday. Our week has been full, filled with joy, laughter, work, friends and children.
Two families were visiting with us, and the children played, laughed, prayed together and blessed each other. Tinus took the children skiing in the afternoon on the dam with the boat. In the evenings we then ate together, laughed together, and just enjoyed each other’s company! After this, I would work until the early hours of the morning. At times I would go on my knees and honour My Abba Father, for restoring the joy and laughter in our home.
The children’s laughter was like music to our ears. Seeing Tinus laugh like that, and Aldo enjoying his meal while quietly watching us, was sweeter than honey. He just smiled in between eating and said, ‘’Stay in the Spirit Mom!’’ I answered him by saying, ‘’Aldo, we are allowed to laugh at the things of the world!”, and on that he showed me a two thumbs up. “Jesus is laughing with you, Mom!” My heart and spirit was filled with such thankfulness when I heard those words, because GOD IS SO FAITHFUL!
At the office the pressure is on. We have a deadline for the new books, and I realize how God is even teaching my staff, as the bride, how to stand and how to move forward on this road, step by step, even though the road is steep and narrow under all the pressure.
This road that the Lord has taken us on, and the spiritual training that came with it, is so intense. Through this the Lord formed endurance in us, and I cannot assume that my staff should just keep up at the same pace. Despite all the current pressure, and the hours of the day that seem to be too short, my cup is overflowing with joy! For the joy of the Lord is my strength! (Neh. 8:10)
John 7:37-38 says: “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink”” He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
There is a river of life that is flowing from the Throne of God and this river starts in fellowship with The Father, The Son and Holy Spirit.
“And He showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and one either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And their shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. And there shall be no night there: They need no lamp, nor light of the son, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever” (Rev. 22 1-5).
In this river, we stand in God’s Glory light, and this light is Jesus himself (1 John 1:5)
“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life”(Joh 8:12)
This life in us – the Zoe life - gives us inner strength and empowers us, so that we can begin to dance the dance of life, because we hear the sound of the most beautiful music in our spirit - the voice of our Abba.
“For it is God who commanded light to shine out of darkness who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Cor. 4:6).
This is the great dance of life. This dance is about the abundant life shared by the Father, the Son, and Spirit. In this river we share in God’s glory and His joy and we share life with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is here, in Him, where this light shines in us as Sons of light and exposes the darkness. Rev 22:15 says: But outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie - We can deal with all this through the blood of the Lamb, for we are overcomers by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony, and because we do not love our lives to the death (Rev.12:11).
It was this Glory light which led us step by step into victory. We see that it is only now (with a pure heart and clean hands in victory over the darkness) that we are starting to taste the greatness and glory in this river of life; and that it is here in this river where we find all the treasures of life that we can hope for or dream of.
In His presence you will find and discover pure communion, fellowship and togetherness with Our Abba Father, The Son and Holy Spirit. Everything else will disappear, all the darkness and the masks will be stripped away, and it will be as the rays of the sun on your body. Malachi 4 vs. 2 says: But to you who fear My name, The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings: and you shall go out and grow fat like stall – fed calves.” You will feel it and it will change your countenance – because joy brings healing to your whole being. This fellowship with the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit is the centre of God, and will always be there. It is about a shared life with the Triune God, in intimacy with Him, being one with Him and in Him.
At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you (John.14:20).
I don’t have words to describe this intimacy. The best way is to say that it feels like my spirit wants to explode because of this love and thankfulness inside of me that I have for Him. Father, Son and Holy Spirit becomes one in us and with us, in our conversations, in our togetherness. He shares in our delight, our hurts, our pains also our victories. This is what the great dance of a shared life is all about.
In Him your life will become rich, full, and filled with passion and creativity. “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord, walk as children of light, for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth (Ef 5:8-9). You will be marked by balance, beauty and gentleness and compassion for others. We, in Him, bring the light to a dark world. Matthew 5:14-16 says: You are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. God created us so that He can live in us, and through us, in His fullness - the fullness of the Godhead bodily dwelling within us (see Col 2:9-10)
I see it in my marriage with my passion for my husband, in my visiting and praying with friends, in touching the lives of people I minister to, in praying for those I meet and being the arms of Jesus around people. In our feasting together, I see and taste this divine life, even at night when I hear the croaking of the frogs, I hear all of creation worshipping God Almighty. I arise and sing with them, and so we all share in this life of abundance in the presence of God. The Glory light of God pulls us into His river of Life, where we will flow with the anointing, grace, love and power. This is life and light and there is no darkness here! (Watch and pray)
“You are all sons of Light , and sons of the day, we are not of the night nor of darkness – therefore let us not sleep as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep at night, and those who get drunk at night. But let us who are of the day, putting on the breastplate of faith, and as a helmet the hope of salvation” (1 Thess 5:5-8).
Aldo came to pray for people at the Spirit School this week and I stand amazed at how God is using a humble, empty vessel, filled with His Spirit, His power and compassion to reach out and minister to His children and to establish the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.
After all these years and months of pain, I look at my hands and see how I am still holding onto these treasures of faith in the one hand, and hope in the other. I hold on to them with all my might. I can hear Holy Spirit saying to me, ‘’Retah there is so much more for you in this river of life, so much more in God’s glory light.”
My family and I can testify today that the dance on the melody of God’s heartbeat is not one where we are required to have perfect bodies or many degrees, or lots of money; but only a heart that is searching and desiring for more of the Triune God all the time.
Tomorrow I have a speaking engagement in Johannesburg, but I am so grateful to be at home tonight with my family to have a Shabbat dinner with them. The children are so excited, because the King is our guest and the joy around the Shabbat table becomes a place of joyful fellowship in His presence. We are also going to an elderly couple tonight to anoint them and bless them, as it is the lady’s birthday today – we just want to be His hands and feet.
‘’Oh taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man who trusts in Him.’’ Psalms 34:8
Be blessed on this Shabbat!
For everyone who has an ear to hear to what the Spirit is saying, may you hear.
Retah and family
