‘Always’ is a word that we need to grasp – it means always and in every situation. He is omnipresent – He is present everywhere at the same time.
In Jeremiah 23:23-24, God says of Himself, “I am a God near at hand, not a God afar off.”
You say that you are unsure if God hears your prayers. “Can anyone hide himself in secret places so that I cannot find him, says the Lord? Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?”
Psalm 139:7 David had this conversation with God, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?” God showed him that it is through His Spirit that He makes Himself present everywhere. David says, “If I ascend into heaven, You are there. If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me and Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, surely the darkness shall fall on me, even the night shall be light about me. Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day, the darkness and the light are both alike to You.”
So, whatever I face today – God is with me!
No matter where I go, God is there by His Spirit – invisible but inescapable.
What a comforting, strengthening assurance. No matter in what difficulties I find myself, “even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.”
Jesus Himself gave us this assurance, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5).
The truth is that darkness has a way of making us feel alone. But in the journey with Abba, I learned that even if it is so, so dark, He is the only light we have.
Sometimes we are not in any way conscious of His presence, but even there His Spirit is still with us – He can never leave us!
Not even total darkness can hide Him from us. But there is a secret, we need to cultivate an inner sensitivity to Holy Spirit that does not depend on the evidence of our natural senses.
Our spirit maintains an uninterrupted awareness of the presence of Holy Spirit and that is such a gift, knowing Him as our Helper, our Friend and our Comforter.
We cannot stand without knowing that Jesus is with us – every second of our lives. Hold on to this truth and stay in peace.
Psalm 46:1 God is our Refuge and Strength (mighty and impenetrable to temptation), a very present and well-proved help in trouble.
I bless you with abundance of God’s favor on your life.
Thank you so much for all our partners that stay with us even in difficult times. We continue to pray for you and bless you.
To our Abba all the glory.
