The Thanksgiving dinner is a huge table filled with friends.
They sit down and enjoy a feast - some stand and some dance around the table.
They stand in one accord - they dance the night away - how precious is that!
Their talks are about Jesus and how He loves us.
The centre of the table has a huge flower basket filled with the lilies of the field.
They all enjoy each other’s company, and they laugh and some cry because of the joyful stories filled with hope.
The wrap around presence of Jesus is tangible and we all enjoy the tres leches cake.
Holy, Holy, Holy is He who is, who was and is to come.
We stay away never again from this table.
The days of dawn draws nearer and nearer ... finding a space around the table is so neat that no one keeps a chair open for you - there is just always a place open just for you.
We all just sat down, and as you walked in, I saw you, wow you look young as ever!
The glory of God helps us to see the real me in everyone.
My soul delights to see you again.
What happened to you?
Are you ok?
Why the tears?
The highlight of my year is this night.
Then tomorrow again - this night,
Then tomorrow again - this night.
That’s how it feels to live with someone that walks one day at a time, sweet Jesus.
The dinner was not served yet and he already said, "Thank you mom, it was so good."
The taste of life is not always heaven on earth only.
It has spelling mistakes, word vocabulary missing links and sometimes just nothing to say.
Having a walk of 20+ years with a wonderful child that became a young man indeed, is heartbreaking to see that he struggles so much to remember a thing.
Today we prepare again for tonight’s thanksgiving dinner.
We do not wait for next year, because we have only today.
Next year will be there, God’s will, but Aldo seems to not remember more than one step at a time.
His inner man shines through it all, and comforts me with a huge hallo.
The table is beautifully decorated.
Josh loves that.
He cares for the small and the broken of heart.
He is carefully designed for life and the party started.
The dead came alive and the broken stood up front.
What happened here?
The trespasses have been forgiven and we are set free?
Yes indeed, so let us celebrate every day the greatest gift on earth - Jesus Christ did it for us all.
Thanks giving, the coming together, is a beautiful tradition with my dearest friends in America.
When they come together around that table - I stand in awe.
How do they know to laugh like this?
How do they save this space for me and mine in their hearts?
That’s a mind-blowing experience in itself.
Trust me, we have tasted that time and time again and I say, "Thank you for loving us."
Then my mind becomes calm and again I say, "I have a taste of heaven this day - because I celebrated life."
South Africa or America - the world is His, and we all are joined together as one accord.
Beloved, dear friend, my brother, or just friends - we want to thank you for this table talk today.
The celebration of life is all about THANKS GIVING unto God, our heavenly father, that sent His Son to save me.
Me can be hiding under the table, me can be lost, me can be in despair, but me is alive and well being of our souls are very important to God.
For that reason this table talk.
Please make sure you still live life to the best of your ability every second of the day.
Please make sure you remember the color of your loved ones’ eyes.
That’s what tables are made for.
Eye to eye I want to say, “Thank you so very much for your support to us. We cannot walk on this journey alone."
We appreciate your love, kind hearts and above all your prayers.
The financial support is a major subject that I still struggle with, I just rather walk with my eyes closed on the water - than to ask for anything.
But then you came along side and took our hands and said – that’s ok, Jesus care for us all.
Thanks giving is my every day manna.
Then the Manhah of heaven opened up and God said to me - now you share what I give to you - as I opened my eyes I saw you sitting in front of me on a Tuesday meeting – let’s share the goodness of God and allow Christ to reveal Himself to us all.
Blessings to you, our family in Christ.
The table is set.
