Speak life

I sit alone outside and think about the last 50 days of our lives. We are through the stage of initial shock. The trauma was shattering; we experienced a kind of hurt I have never experienced before. The hurt went very deep, but we are not lost! “Retha, the only way you will get through the paralysis is to show love.”

Tinus walks into the house after he has spend the afternoon with Aldo and I put my arms around him and love and calmness flows over me. Thank you God for your loves that will never perish. We always have the option to choose the positive. Lord, Your Word says choose life so that you will have life in abundance! Thank You Jesus! I am able to do everything through Jesus that gives me the power to!!

Aldo eats custard and opens his mouth slightly when you ask him to. Tinus asked him to say hello and he did through his trachea. He also called the Physio Auntie Elna. It sounds very odd, but as soon as they remove the trachea it will sound lots better.

We are so excited about his progress. The left side of his face doesn’t move yet, but I stimulate it daily. God is certainly busy and nobody can stop Him. God’s peace, an unexplainable peace, overwhelms us. Aldo co-operates with his exercises; he definitely has a will to live life in abundance.

Susan is going to cook Aldo a meal consisting of potatoes, rice and meat. She says a child needs proper food to get well. We will have to put it through the food processor, but he will get proper food.

Mat 10:29-31 “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them shall fall to the ground without your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.” Then do not fear; you are better than many sparrows. Life is wonderful! Thank you Lord that You are with us through every challenge. Thank you that Your Word proclaims in Is 53:5 that through Your wounds we are healed!

Speak life! Look at the words coming through your mouth. Make sure that you didn’t put a stumbling block in front of your neighbour through words that came from your mouth. Life and death is in the power of the tongue! We are all going to stand in front of the Father one day and give account of every word that came from our mouths.

Live and let live!

Love Retha
