Are we too busy doing things for the Lord that we fail to draw close to Him? To be one with Him and living a victorious life in Christ will not be based so much on the work we do for Him, but rather on how close and intimate we become with the Lord. This will be mirrored by the obedience we have towards Him and the calling He places on our lives. It will never be possible to walk as we are called without a personal encounter with Him every day. His presence should be a holy addiction. You and I need to start praying: “Lord Jesus – please give me a hunger for you and for your Word – even more than for natural food!” This should be our greatest pursuit. We will not reach this place out of ourselves, but only when we humbly respond to God’s grace given to us.
Wherever I preach people often ask me: “Retah, what is my calling?” I believe in my heart that we will be part of, or at least see the beginning of, the greatest move of God on earth. It is a move that will prepare the Highway of Holiness for the King to return. We all should have a part in this building of the Highway for the King! As you and I lay down our lives for Him, each of us becomes a living stone in this Highway. As a Christian – a Child of the Living God – a son of God – it is our destiny to be a part of this great, great calling.
“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy” (Acts 2:17-18).
I am not sure if you are aware that we are coming to the days where there will be a dramatic increase of the prophetic revelation and experiences in the body of Christ, even in ordinary people like you and me. Every time the Holy Spirit is poured out, there will be holy dreams and visions poured out in the hearts of men. I see this happen at every Spirit School. I receive so many e-mails after the Spirit Schools from people who testify about what happened to them: Heaven opened up as their spirit opened up to God – and they received divine revelation from the divine life of Jesus Christ.
The reason why God is giving more and more revelations and experiences to people in this hour is because we are going to need it. They are given for our guidance; for we are all going to need very specific leading in the uncertain times that lay ahead.
Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? (2 Cor. 3:7-8.)
This Scripture reveals that the glory that we should expect to experience should be greater than the glory that Moses experienced. Before the end of the age we should expect to experience the fullness of His glory on us (His children) according to Scripture. We should ask ourselves: “Where is the glory???”
We were in a church one day were I ministered and as the Pastor handed me the microphone his last words were: “The glory of the Lord is here today.” Aldo (who was sitting in the front row), lift up his hand and said very loudly: “Excuse me Sir, the glory is not here.” I felt so embarrassed about this, but realized that he was right – we, as God’s children, don’t even know or recognize His glory.
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn” (Isaiah 60:1-3).
I am sure that we can all relate to seeing the darkness that covers the earth (even darkness covering people’s lives), but the Glory of the Lord is rising over His people! We will start to see how this light will shine away all the darkness in the lives of the faithful ones who stay in the Glory light of God. As you stay in the Glory light you will torment the enemy with this light. The enemy will no longer be able to torment you with his darkness – but you will torment him with the light of God! These are the times that are coming and that we should look forward to.
Time after time God has shown me this: Yes, darkness will come – but in greater measure His grace and glory light will be provided for His children to overcome. I think that we would all prefer to see only the Glory light of God, but we will see both. We need to have our sword in our hands and the Glory light of Jesus upon us, around us and in us, so that the darkness in our lives will be exposed and ‘outshined’.
May we reject any fear and repent of any fear, and start living the divine life of Jesus Christ.
May you have a blessed week! My week is very full. I am leaving for an out of town ministry event in Monday and will only be home on Sunday night. But all the Glory to the King of Glory who prompts us to go and bring the good news that Jesus Christ is alive!
Love Retah and family
