We read in Scripture that we as Christians can excel in many areas – knowledge of Scripture, preaching and the gifts of the Spirit, but we can still live carnal lives.
Unfortunately, this is still the situation with all of us. We live in a day when most believers think that we are spiritual when you are a good preacher, say exactly what everybody wants to hear or know the Word of God.
But in Matthew 7:15-20 Jesus clearly taught that we need to look out for the lack of Divine fruit in the character.
He even said that in the day of judgement many would come before Him and say that they had prophesied and done miracles in His Name.
But that He would reply that He never knew them (Matt 7:22,23).
They called Jesus “Lord” and said they had supernatural powers and dreams.
We learn clearly that not all supernatural gifts do make a man spiritual.
Jesus told these people that He never knew them at all!
The Word says that Satan is the accuser of the brethren, accusing the children of God day and night before God (Rev 12:10). He knows the Bible – he even quoted Scripture to Jesus. He has supernatural gifts and great authority over many people.
But he is not living in the Spirit of God – the character of God.
My heart feels so heavy when I hear how we as Christians talk about each other.
Calling people fools, or “this one is crazy,” just because they don’t see things the way you see them?
This is where Jesus asks us to become mature children of God.
1 Corinthians 8 He will keep you steady and strong till the very end, making your character mature so that you will be found innocent on the day of the Lord.
Let’s test our own hearts, and test the fruit of our character.
It would be wise to treat all people with respect, even if you don’t agree with them.
God is perfectly loving, and He wants us to except His love gift of salvation and maturity in Him.
When we turn our face to Jesus and experience His presence, our spirit man is constantly getting light over all the hidden sins in life.
And He will reveal our fruit in His presence.
It is more visible in His presence than in the flesh.
We must pray for God’s power and presence to fill us, because He wants to use us. It is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me.
He wants us to know Him and do nothing apart from Him.
When you draw closer to Jesus, it means you are building a love relationship with Him.
We don’t need to do things for God, we just need to surrender to Him and He will work through us. He wants us to fix the motivations of our hearts towards Him.
God wants us to empty ourselves of our own ways of doing things, even the way we speak of people.
The tide has turned, and He wants us to come in alignment with His call.
His call is to come out of Christianity and move into God’s power and love.
“Jesus, I want to follow You today. I want to walk in Your light, being secure in Your love.
Doesn’t matter what I see around me, I want to live in You.
Jesus, please teach me to stay in Your presence!”
This will change the atmosphere around us from fear to peace.
From the fruit of the flesh – to where streams of living waters flow out of me.
I bless you my dear friend with a heart filled with love and patience.
Thank you for all your love and kindness towards me and my family.
